Challenge
First Advantage sales people often attend trade shows and collect a number of leads through
business cards. On average it was taking sales reps two to three weeks to transfer this
information into their systems. As time passed, the quality of these leads began to diminish.
Solution
Through CardScan, sales people can scan cards into Salesforce so that lead records are
automatically populated. These leads can then be attached to email campaigns for follow-up.
Result
This process on average now takes sales people 10 percent of the time it used to take.
CardScan has also helped to build stronger pipeline for the inside sales teams.
Data Cleansing
Challenge
First Advantage needed an administrative toolset to improve efficiency on updating and
cleansing data within Salesforce.
Solution
DemandTools is a high performance suite of tools for AppExchange data manipulation, ETL
(Extract, Transform, Load), deduplication, and duplicate prevention.
Result
DemandTools has effectively saved many hours of valuable time on updating and cleansing data
in Salesforce. It's taken 'updating thousands of Salesforce records', 'daily de-duping', and
'importing data' from 100's of days to complete down to just HOURS. The implementation and
integration between Salesforce and DemandTools was also extremely quick and easy.
Advanced Reporting
Challenge
Combining different levels of Salesforce objects and outside data sources for more effective
analytic reporting can become a complex process.
Solution
Crystal Reports allows users to build and combine analyses using data from tables and reports
within multiple data sources.
Result
Crystal Reports helps users to achieve a higher level of reporting and to effectively
distribute analytics to multiple levels of both Salesforce and non-Salesforce users.

Access Permissions
Challenge
First Advantage wanted to sync its network permissions with its Salesforce permissions.
Solution
Through Sxip Audit, Salesforce permissions are tightly integrated with Microsoft Active
Directory. The system allows First Advantage to create a single sign-on through the corporate
directory.
Result
Productivity has increased as a result of decreases in password lockouts. Also, First
Advantage is better protected against terminated employees.
