Once you've finished creating your app, you're ready to package and upload it to the AppExchange. Depending on what you're trying to accomplish, you can choose to package a complete app or just a few components.

Depending on your situation, you may be:

• packaging an app for private sharing.
• packaging an app for public listing (in this case you must supply a managed package).
• upgrading and converting an unmanaged package into a managed package.

To carry out any packaging scenario, you'll log in to the Developer Edition org in which you created your app, then click Setup at the top of the home page. When the App Setup menu appears on the left side of the page, click Exchange, then Shared Apps. Click Continue to proceed to the AppExchange Packages page, then click New to create a new package.

In the case that you've already created a package for your app and want to create a new version of the existing app, you'd click Edit to the left of your app's package name.
