Announces Appointment of René Bonvanie as Senior Vice President and General Manager, AppExchange and Developer Marketing

Move will accelerate developer, partner and customer use of the Apex on-demand platform and the AppExchange marketplace and directory

SAN FRANCISCO  - February 14, 2007 - [NYSE: CRM], the market and technology leader in on-demand business services, today announced that René Bonvanie has joined the company as Senior Vice President and General Manager, AppExchange and Developer Marketing.  In this role, Bonvanie will have responsibility for the marketing and strategic direction of the AppExchange directory, the Apex on-demand platform and developer marketing through the Apex Developer Network. Bonvanie brings more than 24 years of executive management and marketing experience in the enterprise software industry to Most recently, Bonvanie served as senior vice president of global marketing at SAP. Prior to that he was CMO at Business Objects, where he was responsible for all marketing activity, including corporate communications, field marketing, and product marketing. Bonvanie also served as senior vice president of worldwide marketing at VERITAS Software Corporation, where he led the company's worldwide marketing and corporate communications. Prior to joining VERITAS in 2003, Bonvanie served as vice president of product marketing at Oracle Corporation. Bonvanie managed the launch of Oracle 9i, had editorial responsibility for Oracle Magazine and Profit Magazine, and co-founded Oracle's developer program, Oracle Technology Network. Before working at Oracle's corporate headquarters, Bonvanie held positions in field sales and marketing at Oracle in Europe. Prior to Oracle, Bonvanie worked at Ingres for eight years where he held senior roles in sales and marketing.
