Solution
  • Google Enterprise deployed Salesforce Enterprise Edition.
  • The company subsequently acquired additional salesforce.com customers Postini and dMarc Broadcasting, adding even more Salesforce users to its worldwide deployment.
  • Following its acquisition of Postini, an email services company, and of DoubleClick, a global Internet advertising solutions company, Google easily transitioned its new employees onto its own Salesforce instance. The software-as-a-service model eliminated the headaches associated with traditional software migrations.
  • Google Enterprise integrated Salesforce with Google Apps—its suite of software-as-a-service productivity applications. Salesforce for Google Apps enables users to communicate and collaborate with Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Talk, Google Sites, and Google Docs seamlessly within Salesforce. 
  • Salesforce Service & Support applications enable service representatives to respond quickly to customer requests related to the Google Search Appliance.
