Challenge
- Consolidating industry platform data and matching it against company records is a challenge that all fund managers face
- While Ironbark Asset Management (‘Ironbark’) had access to information on fund activity through platform reporting, it was disjointed and difficult to consolidate
- Monthly reporting was complicated and time consuming
- Substantially reducing the efforts that go towards locating Funds Under Advice (FUA) and fund flows was a key objective for the new system
Solution
- Salesforce introduced Ironbark to SaaS consultancy Arxxus to carry out a health check
- Initially focused on Sales Force Automation (SFA), Arxxus saw greater potential for Salesforce CRM as a business platform for tracking fund information as well as sales efforts
- Arxxus deployed their Platform Insight App for monitoring sales activity and leveraged the Custom Cloud for transitioning Ironbark’s sales support processes onto a central web platform
- The flexibility and intuitiveness of Salesforce allows Ironbark to track multiple sale streams and undertake complex data analysis
Results
- Ironbark now has access to a holistic view of its distribution channel, with a greater understanding of where its revenue is coming from and which markets yield the best results
- Tracking sales through a complex cycle allows Ironbark to set meaningful KPIs, remunerate top sales performers adequately and evaluate individual financial planners
- Reporting time has now been reduced significantly
- Salesforce has helped alleviate the challenges that fund managers typically face in managing their information
