At NRF 2020 this year, we announce new features to help customers build on this success for the next holiday season and beyond. Here's what we have in store.

As we begin 2020, I’d like to give a shout out to our customers — they achieved incredible success on the Salesforce Commerce Platform last year. Let’s look at the numbers:

  • Nine hundred million shoppers across 4,200 live sites in 84 countries
  • A staggering 30% year-over-year growth in gross merchandise value (GMV)
  • AI-powered product recommendations drove a 10% order size increase

At NRF 2020 this year, we announce new features to help customers build on this success for the next holiday season and beyond. Commerce Cloud empowers developers to build whatever, however, they want with commerce platform features and productivity tools. Today we announce new innovation to speed headless commerce implementations and provide new levels of flexibility and scalability to extend commerce with ease.

What this means for you:

  • New and enhanced commerce APIs allow for even faster development of custom commerce apps and experiences to reach shoppers at any touchpoint
  • MuleSoft Accelerator for Commerce Cloud jumpstart commerce integrations and speed commerce projects with pre-built integration templates for ERP and PIM

New: Commerce Cloud Developer Center

Commerce developers expect agility and speed when building headless commerce applications. That’s why having resources, best practices, and a community to engage with enhances productivity and shortens project timelines.

What this means for you:

  • Commerce Cloud Developer Center serves as a new API community to quickly discover, share, and build headless commerce experiences
  • Developer toolkit and sample apps provide IT teams with SDK and guidelines to easily build and extend personalized commerce apps
  • Headless Commerce Solution Kits and Trailhead offer clear instructions and best practices on how to build headless commerce experiences

New: Commerce Cloud Einstein AI Dashboard

Commerce Cloud empowers ecommerce teams with analytics and reporting capabilities to make intelligent, informed business decisions, with dashboards that offer insight into performance metrics and trends. This now extends to Einstein, with new dashboards to view the impact of AI-powered product recommendations on the storefront.

What this means for you:

  • Einstein AI Dashboard provides near real-time metrics so merchandisers have the actionable information they need, across sites, storefront pages, and custom date ranges, to optimize AI-powered recs, measure success, and grow revenue.

New: Salesforce Order Management unlocks omni-channel

Salesforce Order Management seamlessly connects and automates the entire commerce order process, bringing together commerce, fulfillment and customer service, for a single view of customers and streamlined support. Salesforce Order Management now serves as a cornerstone for unified commerce, extending into the store.

What this means for you:

  • Order management in-store partners unlock critical use cases to bridge physical and digital channels like buy online, pickup in store (BOPIS) and endless aisle, allowing companies to deliver a unified in-store and online experience that customers demand with mobile point-of-sale (MPOS) partners Mad Mobile, NewStore, and PredictSpring.
