Salesforce Brings The Trailhead Spirit To New Vancouver Office

Learn more about the recently opened Salesforce Canada Vancouver office.

It may be a considerable distance from Dreamforce in San Francisco, but anyone who visits the recently opened Salesforce Canada Vancouver office will immediately recognize how it connects to the spirit of our community of employees, customers, and partners around the world.

Standing at 333 Seymour Street, everywhere you look around the new Salesforce Vancouver office, you’re likely to see inspiration from nature, an open flow layout allowing natural light to pour in, one-of-a-kind views of the nearby Grouse Mountain, Mount Fromme, and so much more.

“Vancouver has always been an important market for Salesforce,” said Margaret Stuart, Country Manager, Salesforce Canada. “With this new location, we’re now able to offer an environment that will facilitate the kind of collaboration and innovative thinking that has defined Salesforce from the very beginning.”

The details don’t just manifest themselves in the architecture. Our workspaces feature a wide range of spaces, like social lounges that will not only be a place to brainstorm new ideas with colleagues but also to plan volunteer events and initiatives to give back to the Vancouver community. To date, our local employees have volunteered more than 217,000 hours.

At Salesforce, we also believe a commitment to wellness ensures our team can do their best work, which is why we’ve also set up mindfulness rooms where employees can meditate or simply take time to focus and centre themselves.

A track record in supporting B.C. businesses

Salesforce is no stranger to Vancouver, of course. We first set up shop here in Gastown in 2012, and made one of our first Canadian acquisitions here with Sitemasher, which developed technology to power website content on social media and mobile devices.

Since then, Salesforce has worked with an incredibly diverse range of customers in Vancouver and other parts of B.C. This spans from some of the hottest startups such as Indochino, which has boosted collaboration by 300% through the use of our platform, and multinationals such as Richmond-based Sierra Wireless, which was able to unify three business units following the completion of its Salesforce rollout last year.

Other Salesforce success stories that started in Vancouver include growing retailer Saje Natural Wellness, which has used our Commerce Cloud to fuel its global expansion and tools like Marketing Cloud to design a more dynamic customer journey. Mindfield, meanwhile, has built a hiring portal that has transformed the local recruiting sector and helped more than 80,000 Canadians find jobs. And Release The Hounds is a good example of a Vancouver-based small business that organizes professional dog walkers through our mobile technology.

Building on Vancouver’s momentum

Vancouver is already well known as the home to major industries such as film and TV production, forestry and mining. The growth of our Vancouver operation also reflects its growing in prominence as a tech hub: the city was second only to Toronto in CBRE’s latest Scoring Tech Talent report, for example.

We’re incredibly excited about our next chapter in Vancouver. In fact, local Solutions Engineer Manager, Kayleigh Roberts says, “I’m so excited for our new, expanded office space in Vancouver! I really appreciate that Salesforce is focused on being connected and supporting our customers locally. It’s been wonderful to be part of this region’s growth, and I’m so thrilled about our future!”
