Marc Benioff is chairman and CEO of Salesforce. One of the pioneers of cloud computing, Benioff founded the company in 1999 with a vision to create an on-demand, information management service to replace traditional enterprise software technology. Under his leadership, Salesforce has grown from a groundbreaking idea into the fastest growing top ten software company in the world and the largest customer relationship management (CRM) company.
Salesforce’s mobile, social and connected cloud technologies help companies create deeper, more meaningful connections with their customers. For its revolutionary approach, Salesforce has been named the World’s Most Innovative Company four years in a row by Forbes Magazine. Fortune Magazine named Salesforce as the World’s Most Admired Company in the software industry two years in a row, and ranked the company #7 among the World’s Best Places to Work.
Benioff has been widely recognized for his visionary leadership and pioneering innovation. He was named Businessperson of the Year by Fortune readers, one of the Best CEOs in the World by Barron’s, and he received The Economist’s Innovation Award. He served as co-chairman of the President’s Information Technology Advisory Committee from 2003–2005.
Throughout his career, Benioff has evangelized a new model of integrated corporate philanthropy. In 2000, he launched the Salesforce Foundation and established the “1-1-1 model,” whereby the company contributes one percent of product, one percent of equity, and one percent of employee hours back to the communities it serves globally. Today, the Foundation has inspired other leading corporations to adopt the 1-1-1 model. Benioff has focused his personal philanthropy on advancing children’s health care through UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals.
Benioff is a 35-year veteran of the software industry. Prior to launching Salesforce, he spent 13 years at Oracle Corporation. He founded his first company, Liberty Software, which created video games, at the age of 15. He also worked as an assembly language programmer in Apple Computer’s Macintosh Division during his college years. Benioff received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1986 and an honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters in 2014 from the University of Southern California.
He is the author of three books, including the national best-seller, Behind the Cloud.
Parker Harris oversees product strategy for Salesforce, from design to development to service delivery.
Parker founded Salesforce along with Marc Benioff, Dave Moellenhoff, and Frank Dominguez in the spring of 1999. Prior to founding Salesforce, Parker developed cloud computing expertise at Left Coast Software, a company he co-founded in 1996, and sales force automation expertise at Metropolis Software, an early pioneer in field sales force automation subsequently acquired by Clarify.
Parker developed a love of math, science and computer programming at an early age, but also developed the other side of his brain with a fluency in French and a degree in English Literature from Middlebury College.
Vice Chairman, President and COO
Keith Block is the Vice Chairman, President and COO of Salesforce and serves on its board of directors. He leads the company’s day-to-day operations, including its rapidly growing, multi-billion dollar global sales and services business, alliances and channels, industry strategy, corporate development, corporate affairs, marketing and business operations.
Block has managed world-class sales, consulting and engineering teams for nearly 30 years, with a focus on customer transformation. Prior to joining Salesforce in 2013, Block served as Oracle’s executive vice president of North America Sales and Consulting, leading a multi-billion dollar sales and services business unit that achieved record revenue and margin during his tenure. He began his career at Booz Allen Hamilton as a senior consultant.
Block currently serves on the World Economic Forum’s Information Technology Community as a Governor, the Board of Trustees for Carnegie-Mellon University, the Advisory Board at Carnegie-Mellon University Heinz Graduate School and the Board of Trustees at the Concord Museum. He is also actively involved with the Boston Partners in Education, a nonprofit focused on enhancing the academic achievement and personal growth of Boston’s public school students.
Block holds a Master’s of Science degree in Management and Policy Analysis and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Information Systems from Carnegie-Mellon University.
Executive Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Controller
Joe Allanson is Salesforce’s chief accounting officer and corporate controller and advises the company’s management on all accounting matters. Allanson has been with Salesforce since 2003.
Prior to Salesforce, Allanson spent four years at Autodesk and three years at Chiron Corporation in key corporate finance positions. Previously, he worked at Arthur Andersen LLP for 11 years in its Audit and Business Advisory Services group.
Allanson graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.S. degree in Accounting. He currently serves on the Board of Regents at St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco.
Senior Vice President
Jim Cavalieri is a senior vice president at Salesforce. He is responsible for managing executive priorities, alignment and strategy.
Cavalieri joined Salesforce in 1999 and has served in a variety of leadership roles for the company. Cavalieri was responsible for architecting, building and operating the original Salesforce cloud computing infrastructure and data centers, building the company's IT organization, creating Salesforce’s Security, Technology Compliance and Risk Management programs and establishing the company's Trust organization.
Prior to Salesforce, Cavalieri held various technical and management roles at Oracle and also worked as a consultant and systems engineer at Electronic Data Systems (EDS). Cavalieri currently serves as a Trustee for Head-Royce School and is a member of the Industry Advisory Board for Violin Memory.
Cavalieri holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
President, Chief Product Officer
Alex Dayon is president of Salesforce’s products. Dayon, who holds several patents, is focused around creating business value out of technology disruption.
Dayon joined Salesforce in 2008 through the acquisition of InStranet, a leading knowledge-base company where he was a founder and served as its CEO. Prior to InStranet, Dayon was a founding member of Business Objects SA where he led the product group for more than 10 years.
Dayon holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Ecole Supérieure d'Electricité (SUPELEC) in France.
President, Chief Customer Officer
Anthony Fernicola is Salesforce’s Chief Customer Officer and is responsible for bringing the power of Salesforce to the world’s largest organizations. Fernicola has a 35-year track record building high-performance teams that deliver customer success. Prior to joining Salesforce, Fernicola served as Senior Vice President at Oracle, where he grew the North America Technology Organization (NATO) into one of the company’s largest revenue-generating business groups.
During his 17-year career at Oracle, Fernicola was widely recognized for leading key transformational initiatives for the company’s technology license business, engineered systems business and financial services business. In addition to leading Oracle’s NATO group, he served in various other leadership roles, including Senior Vice President of Strategic Accounts, General Manager and Senior Vice President of the Financial Services Licensing and Consulting Services Business and Group Vice President for Oracle’s Financial Services Business Unit in North America.
Fernicola began his career at Unisys, where he spent 16 years in various leadership roles in sales and product management serving the financial services industry.
Fernicola holds a M.B.A. in Computer Science and a B.S. in Marketing and Economics from Manhattan College.
Executive Vice President, Finance
David Havlek is executive vice president of Finance at Salesforce and is responsible for global financial planning, business analytics and investor relations.
Havlek has more than 25 years of experience in technology. He joined Salesforce in 2005 as Vice President of Investor Relations and is widely recognized by the investment community as an expert in subscription-based business models.
Prior to Salesforce, Havlek spent more than 16 years at Hewlett Packard (HP), serving in a variety of roles including FP&A, pricing, business development, and investor relations. He helped lead HP through one of the biggest and most contentious proxy fights ever, culminating in HP’s eventual acquisition of Compaq Computer in 2002.
David holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and an MBA from Purdue University.
Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President
As chief financial officer and executive vice president at Salesforce, Mark Hawkins is responsible for leading the company’s global finance organization and is a member of the company’s executive committee reporting directly to chairman and CEO Marc Benioff.
Hawkins has more than 30 years of experience with leading finance organizations at global software and technology companies including Autodesk, Logitech, Dell and Hewlett-Packard.
At Autodesk, Hawkins served as CFO and executive vice president from 2009 to 2014, leading the global finance, information technology and procurement organizations. From 2006 to 2009, Hawkins was CFO and senior vice president of finance & IT at Logitech International SA.
From 2000 to 2006, Hawkins served as vice president of finance for Dell’s Worldwide Procurement and Logistics organization, as well as vice president of finance for Dell’s U.S. Home Segment. Prior to Dell, Hawkins spent nearly 19 years at Hewlett-Packard where he held a variety of finance and business management roles, including a two-year posting in Europe.
Hawkins serves on the board of directors of Plex Systems, a leader in cloud-based ERP for manufacturers. He holds an M.B.A in Finance from the University of Colorado, a B.A. from Michigan State University, and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Executive Vice President and Chief Infrastructure Officer
Randy Kern is Executive Vice President and Chief Infrastructure Officer of Salesforce. He is responsible for the worldwide infrastructure engineering and operations teams that deliver Salesforce’s award winning Software and Platform Services.
Prior to Salesforce, Kern spent nearly 20 years driving technical innovations at massive scale for Microsoft, most notably Azure and Autopilot, which is the engine that drives Bing and many of the other Online Services Division products. In 2013, he received a coveted Microsoft Outstanding Technical Achievement award for his work on Autopilot. Kern also served as the CTO for Spoke Technology.
Chairman and CEO, Salesforce Japan
Koide joined Salesforce Japan in April 2014 as its first chairman and CEO.
Prior to joining Salesforce, Koide spent seven years at HP Japan, where he led the company’s hardware, software and services businesses, as well as all operations.
Koide began his career at IBM Japan in 1981, leading its hardware, outsourcing, technical services and financial services businesses, and serving as a board member from 2002.
Following 25 years at IBM Japan, Koide served as executive vice president and COO at SoftBank Telecom.
Koide holds a degree in economics from Aoyama Gakuin University.
CEO, SalesforceIQ, Salesforce
Steve Loughlin is CEO of SalesforceIQ, formerly RelateIQ. Salesforce acquired SalesforceIQ in July 2014 to extend the value of Salesforce’s #1 CRM apps and platform with a new level of intelligence across sales, service and marketing. Loughlin leads a team in Palo Alto focused on extending the development of Relationship Intelligence technology, which enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of sales teams and building products that people love.
Prior to Salesforce, Loughlin served for five years as president and CEO of Affinity Circles, a professional social network that connected more than 18 million professionals. He has advised and served as a board member for companies include Palantir Technologies, Addepar, RoboteX, Piazza and Badgeville.
President, Global Customer Success and Salesforce Latin America
With more than 30 years of experience in business and technology leadership roles, Maria Martinez leads Salesforce’s Customer Success Group, which is responsible for helping customers achieve business value from their Salesforce deployments. Martinez’ organization encompasses the company’s Success Programs and Products, including Customer Success Managers, Architects, Cloud Implementation Practices, Accelerators, Innovation and Transformation Consulting, Renewals and more. In addition, she is responsible for the company's Latin and Central America organization.
Prior to joining Salesforce, Martinez managed Microsoft’s global services business, including professional services and customer support for the company’s business products. In her six-year tenure, Martinez led businesses to outperform revenue targets and to significantly increase Microsoft’s customer satisfaction rating. Before that, Martinez served as president and CEO of Embrace Networks, and she has also held senior leadership roles at Motorola and AT&T.
CEO, Marketing Cloud, Salesforce
Scott McCorkle serves as CEO, Marketing Cloud, Salesforce. His passion for the Marketing Cloud’s products and technology, combined with his dedication to customer success have been instrumental in building the world’s most powerful 1:1 digital marketing platform.
Prior to his current role, McCorkle led technology and strategy for ExactTarget. Since its founding in 2000, the company and its technology have grown to power the digital customer experience for many of the world’s leading brands across email, mobile, social media, advertising, and the web. He also co-founded Mezzia, Inc., served as Vice President of IBM's customer relationship management (CRM) product group, and was Vice President and General Manager for Software Artistry. McCorkle began his career at BorgWarner Automotive's Technology Research Center developing computer vision-guided robotic systems, and then spent several years at Eli Lilly and Company's Lilly Research Laboratories.
McCorkle earned his undergraduate degree in computer science from Ball State University and his MBA from Indiana University.
President, Global Commercial Sales
Brian Millham is president of Global Commercial Sales for Salesforce. He is responsible for driving growth and customer success for the SMB and Commercial organization.
Millham has been at Salesforce since its inception in 1999, and has served in various leadership roles from Business Development to Sales. He is widely credited for growing the sales organization into one of the most respected teams in the industry today.
Millham began his career at Oracle Corporation where he spent seven years in leadership roles across a variety of divisions, including Finance, Operations, Alliances and Sales. After Oracle, he worked at Remedy Corporation where he was responsible for running the Alliance team. Millham received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1991.
Chief Legal Officer & Chief of Corporate and Government Affairs
Burke Norton leads the legal, compliance, internal audit, government affairs, corporate development, information technology, business operations, public sector sales and sales strategy teams at Salesforce. He is a member of the company’s executive committee.
Prior to joining Salesforce, Norton was executive vice president and general counsel and a member of the office of the chairman at Expedia, where he was responsible for all legal and corporate affairs, government relations, corporate transactions, compliance, litigation and intellectual property matters.
Previously, Norton was a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, where he practiced corporate and securities law, representing clients in the enterprise software, telecommunications, semiconductor, life sciences, entertainment, and e-commerce industries, with an emphasis on complex corporate transactions, including public and private equity and debt financings and cross-border merger and acquisition transactions, as well as corporate governance, regulatory, and intellectual property matters.
Executive Vice President, Worldwide Alliances and Channels
Tyler Prince is executive vice president of Salesforce’s worldwide alliances and channels organization, which manages the world’s largest enterprise cloud ecosystem. In this role, Prince is responsible for all partner-facing operations, including the go-to-market strategy, solution development, sales and marketing for consulting partners, ISV's, channel partners and digital agencies.
Prince brings more than 25 years of experience in delivering transformational capabilities to partners and customers across many industries. Prior to joining Salesforce, Prince served as principal and global Oracle practice leader at PwC. Previously, he was group vice president for Alliances & Channels in North America at Oracle, where he was responsible for driving sales and client success with business partners across Oracle’s portfolio of application, technology and hardware. Prior to Oracle, Prince held various management positions at PeopleSoft, IBM and Andersen Consulting.
Based in Chicago, he also serves as regional leadership board member for the American Cancer Society. Prince holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois.
Executive Vice President, Global Employee Success
Cindy Robbins is executive vice president of Global Employee Success at Salesforce—the World’s Most Innovative Company according to Forbes and one of Fortune’s Best Companies to Work for five years in a row. In this role, Robbins leads the company’s efforts to attract, develop and retain the best talent.
Robbins has more than 15 years of experience in the field of Human Resources. At Salesforce, Robbins’ previous leadership roles within Employee Success include overseeing recruiting and global business partners. Prior to joining Salesforce in 2006, she held positions at major technology companies including BEA, OpenWave, Plumtree Software and Excite@Home.
Robbins holds a B.S. in Political Science from Santa Clara University.
Chief Adoption Officer
As Chief Adoption Officer, Polly Sumner is responsible for customer success and ensuring that each and every customer gets maximum value from our products and services.
Polly’s move to Salesforce in 2008 followed a 20-year career in executive management in the technology industry.
Salesforce is the enterprise cloud computing company. We are the leader in enterprise social collaboration, customer relationship management apps and development in the cloud. More than 92,300 customers now manage their success with our social, mobile and open cloud technologies.
Before joining Salesforce, Polly was a consultant to Warburg Pincus focusing on the telecommunications, financial services and technology industries. Polly was president of global services at Telcordia. She also served as president and CEO of Alphablox an early pioneer in web based analytics for global enterprises. IBM purchased Alphablox in 2004.
Polly Sumner also held several different positions at Oracle from 1987 to 1999, including vice president and senior vice president roles in sales and alliances. Earlier in her 30-year technology career, Polly worked at McDonnell Douglas and IBM.
Polly Sumner holds a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Northern Arizona University and a master's degree from the American Graduate School of International Management. She is a frequent contributor to entrepreneurial programs at Stanford, Sloan and Fuqua Graduate School at Duke University. She also keynotes regularly and last year spoke at the Nasscom Product Conclave in Bangalore, the SIAA Presentation in London and the CIO Roundtable in Rotterdam to name a few.
She is passionate about integrating philanthropy into our business culture and preserving small family ranches in Northern California.
Srinivas Tallapragada is President-Technology at Salesforce. He leads a globally distributed and diverse team of technologists responsible for creating all of the company’s innovative products.
Tallapragada joined Salesforce in 2012 and brings more than 20 years of product development experience in enterprise software including leading the development of ERP, CRM, e-commerce and industry-specific applications.
Prior to Salesforce, Tallapragada held multiple roles at Oracle and SAP leading the development of many of core enterprise applications and integration of technology from numerous acquisitions.
Tallapragada holds a Masters from the school of Human Resources at XLRI, Jamshedpur, India and a Bachelors of Technology in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal, India.
Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer
Lynn Vojvodich, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Salesforce, has developed and led growth and innovation strategies for more than 20 years, primarily in the enterprise software industry. As CMO, Vojvodich leads the global marketing organization and is responsible for driving market leadership, global awareness, demand generation, strategic events and communications for Salesforce.
Previously, Vojvodich was a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz where she worked with portfolio companies on their go-to-market strategy and with Forbes Global 2000 CIOs and CMOs on their innovation agenda. In prior years, she served as CMO at Terracotta, a leader in Big Data Management, where she oversaw global marketing programs. Vojvodich is the Founder of Take3, a marketing strategy firm that specializes in B2B Marketing for clients such as IBM, Microsoft and Verisign, as well as early stage start-ups. She also led Enterprise Marketing, Strategy and Planning at Microsoft, held several leadership roles at BEA Systems including Global Strategic Alliances, Strategic Marketing and Product Marketing, and was a management consultant at Bain & Company.
Vojvodich began her career as a mechanical engineer and managed the interior completion of the first GV, the Gulfstream Aerospace business jet. She also designed offshore oil structures in the Gulf of Mexico and led “turn-key” construction projects. She holds a B.S. in Product Design and Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Amy Weaver is executive vice president and General Counsel at Salesforce and advises the company’s board of directors and management on legal issues. She is a member of the company’s executive committee.
Prior to joining Salesforce, Weaver was executive vice president and general counsel of Univar Inc., where she was responsible globally for all legal and corporate affairs, governance, corporate transactions, compliance, litigation and employment law matters. Previously Weaver was senior vice president and deputy general counsel at Expedia, Inc. Weaver practiced law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and at Perkins Coie LLP. Prior to entering private practice, she served as a legislative aide to a member of the Hong Kong Legislative Council and as a clerk on the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Weaver has a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from Wellesley College.
Executive Vice President, Salesforce Industries
John Wookey is executive vice president of Salesforce Industries at Salesforce. He is focused on creating industry products that extend the value of Salesforce solutions to customers.
Wookey has almost 30 years of product development experience in enterprise software, where he has led the development of applications in ERP, Human Resources, Financial Accounting, CRM, and industry-specific applications for Financials Services, Healthcare, Education and Public Sector.
Prior to Salesforce, Wookey was SAP’s executive vice president of Development, where he was responsible for the development of enterprise OnDemand applications. Prior to SAP, Wookey spent 13 years in the Applications division at Oracle, where he led the development of many of Oracle's core applications. He was responsible for integrating technology from numerous acquisitions, including PeopleSoft, J.D. Edwards and Siebel Systems, and later assumed responsibility for development of all Oracle applications.
Wookey holds a B.S. and a M.S. in Engineering Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley.
