After migrating CRM implementation from Siebel to salesforce.com, company sees ROI in three months
SAN FRANCISCO, CA — April 18, 2002 — Salesforce.com, the market leader in online customer relationship management (CRM), today announced that Intraware, Inc. (Nasdaq: ITRA - News), a leading provider of global electronic software delivery and management (ESDM) and information technology (IT) solutions, has standardized on salesforce.com's online CRM solution. Intraware employees in sales, marketing, systems engineering, and management use the salesforce.com solution to identify and track sales and marketing opportunities, coordinate customer-facing activities, and accurately forecast revenues. The company estimates that, for one-fourth the cost of its Siebel implementation, it has been able to leverage salesforce.com with less administrative time and increased usage.
Prior to implementing salesforce.com, Intraware used a hosted CRM package from Siebel Systems for more than two years. After considering solutions from the other major players in the CRM market, Intraware selected salesforce.com's online solution and migrated the existing Siebel database into the salesforce.com online CRM solution. Within days, and without IT involvement, salesforce.com was up and running, providing Intraware with an integrated 360-degree view of their customers that could be accessed from any location via the Internet.
