Many years ago now, while on sabbatical in Hawaii, Marc had a vision for a different kind of company – one built around not only a new technology model - cloud, new business model – subscription, and new philanthropy – 1/1/1, but also built around the Hawaiian concept of “Ohana” – which means “family” in Hawaiian.
Today, Ohana is at the heart of everything Salesforce does. It is the deep-seated support system we nurture inside our company that extends from our employees to our customers, our partners and our communities.
It is the bedrock upon which our company was built and the foundation for all the success that has flowed – and will continue to flow from it.
So what does Ohana look like in practice?
Innovation, Customer Success, and Giving Back are the core values that make our work meaningful. But just as important as WHAT our Ohana does together is HOW we work together, so we also value Trust, Transparency, Equality, Wellness and Fun.
These are the values that unite us, inspire us and make us uniquely Salesforce.
