As a member of our Global Education Services team, you will work with internal stakeholders to architect the learning paths and certification requirements for groups within Salesforce.com’s employee and partner base. You will analyze knowledge gaps, including new product releases and positioning, and design a training program that addresses the unique needs of Salesforce.com’s global sales and implementation employee group and partner community. Your program will include course architecture, content design and development, appropriate delivery methods, and measurement techniques. You will work with Product Managers, Team Leads, other course developers, certification experts, and instructors to construct a program that keeps Salesforce.com’s employees and partners on the cutting edge of our products, processes, and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Objectives:
- Assess training requirements for various roles and design training plan to meet these requirements
- Architect full training solution/program, leveraging existing content where possible and evaluating re-use across roles
- Present training solutions, program architecture, and project timeline/resource requirements to stakeholders to gain alignment and buy-in
- Lead development teams (internal and partner) to implement the program; insure ongoing success of training through reports, surveys and assessments
- Provide program status updates to stakeholders and Executives regarding program successes, risks, and milestones
- Support development of certification program where appropriate
- Specify and build media-appropriate training (WBT, elearning, recorded training) that fits the delivery requirements of a mobile workforce with limited time availability
- Innovate new methods to deliver content that sets new standards
- Plan maintenance cycles and resource requirements
Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years as a instructional designer in a software or hardware company building training solutions for internal audiences
- Proven ability to deal with highly technical content at a sales (messaging) and product level
- Program management experience including analytical activities
- Course development feature/function and customer solution focus
- Experience with structured writing techniques preferred.
- Success in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
- Proven ability to set and meet project timelines with quality results.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple, on-going projects.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Preferred experience
- Training support for a Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant, or IT/Application Development team Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years as a instructional designer in a software or hardware company building training solutions for internal audiences
- Proven ability to deal with highly technical content at a sales (messaging) and product level
