The Application Instructor educates and trains new and existing users on the functionality of salesforce.com's best-in-class CRM system. He/she ensures consistent high quality training and education of customers through lectures, demonstrations, and guidance with hands-on exercises.

This position requires excellent instruction skills, excellent oral and written communication, ability to communicate product features, ability to summarize a broad amount of information into key points, general knowledge of salesforce.com products (or similar applications), fluency with advanced software applications or computer operating systems and motivational skills. This individual is responsible for developing curriculum based on the end user's customization of the application and business needs. The trainer will travel to various customer sites delivering onsite training programs and related courseware.



Responsibilities:
  • Deliver salesforce.com workshops to non-technical and technical customers and/or partners
  • Participate in or lead instructional design and curriculum development activities
  • Work as an integral part of an overall Project Management Team in the management, development and delivery of customised Training.
  • Develop overall learning strategies that support project goals and measurement criteria
  • Provide internal training / and participate in knowledge transfer activities
  • Provide logistical planning and support for delivery of end-user training programs
  • Project plan and manage client relationship on stand-alone training engagements
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to develop course specifications and gather course content
  • Ensure the training curriculum and delivery addresses audience's job functions
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on the salesforce.com CRM application both internally as well as to customers & partners


Required Skills/Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree, 4+ years Application-based training and, ideally, Business Process Training Experience - must be able to understand and communicate business processes effectively within the context of application usage.
  • Formal Presentation skills and the ability to present ideas effectively (including nonverbal communication and use of visual aids) to individuals or groups in live or virtual class.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must have the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of CRM, databases, web-based systems, desktop publishing and other technical areas a definite advantage
  • Dedication to quality and excellence, with a strong customer service focus
  • Demonstrate self motivation and work well independently or on a team
  • Demonstrate ability to learn new technologies & products quickly in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • High level of organization and time management skills
  • Take initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking
  • Manage concurrent objectives or projects effectively
  • Demonstrate sharp analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Fluency in German and English is required, fluency (written and spoken) in other European languages will be a major advantage, especially French/Italian/Spanish
  • Flexible scheduling and willingness to travel (~50- 60%)
