Education Technology Support Coordinator

Description: As a member of Salesforce.com’s Global Education Services team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the training development and delivery tools and infrastructure. You will manage the ongoing operations of Salesforce.com’s Learning Management System (LMS), on-demand recording and delivery tools, and web meeting/virtual classroom capabilities, and you will work with key stakeholders to identify additional tools and technologies needed to support our internally- and externally-facing education team. In this role, you will support the management of content and users in these systems and become an expert in these functions. You will continuously improve existing processes by analyzing effectiveness of the existing toolset and building a plan for the future infrastructure. You will serve as the primary point of contact with key technology vendors/partners and manage the deployment projects.

Responsibilities:
    Operational Management

  • Manages the ongoing operation of the Plateau Learning Management System (LMS).
  • A source of expertise for content publishing in the LMS
  • Vendor management of the SLA for the on-demand, customer facing LMS
  • Participate in LMS governance through the LMS steering committee
  • Manage continuous process improvements in the LMS, working with IT, the steering committee and the vendor
  • Optimize the Curriculum Development infrastructure
  • Regulate file management for business continuity and best practice
  • Own classroom image library, obtaining specs from curriculum developers
  • Manage development tool environment and training
  • Manage recording studio, video capabilities, on line environments
  • Document, define metrics, measure and monitor the health of processes and systems

    Process Improvement
  • Maintain knowledge of tools and technologies in the education ecosystem and recommend improvements based on identified requirements/pain points
  • Implement approved solutions
  • Manage system deployment or change projects (Learning Content Management Systems, Testing and Assesssment, Certification, eLearning technology) Communication

  • Work with stakeholders to develop metrics; report against those metrics as needed
  • Develop and implement relevant communication plans for Education Services and it’s internal and external customer base as needed, including participation in website development, contribution to Salesforce.com’s Content, and utilizing the Salesforce.com Wiki.


Required Skills/Experience:
  • 1-2 years of experience managing learning technology systems, including LMS, LCMS and a variety of content authoring applications
  • Experience with Online Learning development and Learning Management System Integration required.
  • Strong knowledge of training development and delivery technologies and deployment processes.
  • Proven Project Management experience, including successful implementation of systems in an enterprise environment.
  • Proven ability to meet project timelines with quality results.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple, on-going projects.
  • Clear communication and writing skills
  • Project Management in a matrixed environment
  • Excellent collaborative skills to drive consensus and leverage disparate viewpoints for optimal solutions
  • Solid understanding of Internet technologies, browser technologies and On Demand training
  • Knowledge of web design, website management, web casting, podcasting, WIKIs, blogs
  • Analytical and reporting capability for management and executive communication
  • Bachelor’s degree.
