Description: At salesforce.com, our Pre-Sales Engineer are responsible for designing solutions that will resolve a customer's business issues, whilst evoking confidence in our products & platform and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle. Our successful Pre-Sales Engineer have a strong understanding of how our technology can resolve business issues, possess a consultative sales approach and understand the importance of team work.

Responsibilities:
  • You must have a proven track record in the development and delivery of differentiated custom solutions and presentations, including technical concepts, to key decision makers to address their business issues and needs
  • You will be expected to deliver, in an effective and timely manner, on RFI / RFPs
  • You must be able to orchestrate a sales cycle which requires involvement of multiple resources.
  • You will be expected to design a winning salesforce.com solution to enable client's business initiatives to be realised.
  • You will be expected to fully understand and clearly articulate the benefits of salesforce.com to all levels including line of business managers
  • You will be expected to proactively support relationships with customers and partners.
  • You will be expected to display initiative, self motivation and deliver high quality work while at the same time, meeting all deadlines for both internal and external customers
  • You are expected to have a minimum of 3-4 + years in a pre-sales or comparable position
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally


Required Skills/Experience:
  • Specific efforts include understanding the unique business requirements of small businesses (directly with Sales teams and RFPs) and translating/presenting those needs into a compelling demonstration of salesforce.com's functional and technical capabilities.
  • Requirements include a track record of Pre-sales success for a CRM organization in addition to:
  • Working knowledge of related enterprise applications, relational database and web technology
  • Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic programming experience in HTML and other web-based technologies
  • Proven time management skills in a dynamic sales environment
