Salesforce.com (www.salesforce.com) is looking for a Manager for its Investor Relations team. The position will report directly to the Vice President of Investor Relations and will be a key contributor to programs that help attract and maintain long term investors for the company. The IR manager will help represent the company to the investment community externally, as well as be a key resource to CXO level executives within the company. Responsibilities:
  • Supports VP of Investor Relations with strategic communications including key messaging, scripting assistance, and content creation for external presentation materials.
  • Supports VP of Investor Relations on investor-facing activities, including buy and sell side analyst inquiry response, company presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Assists in the creation of investor marketing collateral to include presentation decks, press releases, and annual report.
  • Manages company participation in investor-facing events to include investor conferences, non-deal road shows, in-house investor meetings, annual meetings, and analyst days.
  • Hosts internal executives at investor meetings and on conference calls to ensure full SEC disclosure compliance for company.
  • Provides regular investor perception view to management by summarizing and distributing sell-side reports on salesforce.com, and relevant competitive peers.
  • Develops and manages an effective investor targeting program, to optimize company resource deployment with the investment community.
  • Manages the expanded implementation of an internal IR application for all contact, event, and calendar management.
  • Ad-hoc financial analyses, competitive analyses, and market study analyses.
  • Create and manage critical IR financial data for use with investors as primary liaison to FP&A within group.
  • Primary owner of annual report creation process.
  • Manages the annual meeting process in partnership with company legal organization.
  • Manages relationships with critical external business partners.
  • Some travel may be required.


Required Skills/Experience:
  • BS Degree, or equivalent, in Finance, business, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 4+ years relevant finance experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in IR, investment banking, or as buy/sell side analyst.
  • Exceptional finance and analytical knowledge including deep understanding of financial modeling techniques used by Wall Street analysts to assess and value companies.
  • Must have knowledge of the software industry. Understanding of internet business models extremely desirable.
  • SEC Compliance knowledge desirable.
  • Excellent written and communication skills, including ability to communicate complex ideas to large groups and very senior levels of management.
  • Knowledge of IR products such as Thomson One, IR channel, Nysenet, etc. highly desireable.
  • Excellent PC skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Working Knowledge of saleforce.com application desirable.
