This role will be responsible for partnering with the Technology organization and its senior management to build annual budgets, manage quarterly and rolling forecasts, and provide decision support through financial analyses to ensure optimal returns on strategic investments. The Technology organization is made up of our Data Center Tech Ops, IT, R&D and Info Security functions.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the Annual and Long-term Strategic Planning and Budget Process for the Technology organization, including Capital Budgeting and Cash Flow Forecasting
- Managing the Quarterly Rolling Forecast Process
- Driving a Rolling Investment Prioritization Process – building flexible and dynamic project-based reporting to allow for maximum visibility to both short and long term strategic investment decisions
- Conducting In-Quarter Puts & Takes Review sessions – ensuring that the organization can flex and react to short-term budget surpluses/deficits
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating key messages to senior management
- Financial Analyses and Reporting – projects include lease vs buy, asset tracking and expense management, cost of service delivery, program ROI, key performance indicator dashboards and metrics, and internal/external benchmarking
- Building deep business partner relationships across the organization
- Developing a Cloud technology solution to deliver on the processes above
Required Skills/Experience:
- 8+ years of relevant public company work experience
- Strong financial and operational planning skills
- Expertise in building financial and decision support models
- Analytical, problem-solving, advanced business acumen mindset
- Experience in supporting a Technology organization, with subject matter expertise in fixed asset accounting, vendor management, capital budgeting, project-based reporting, business case and program ROI
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to influence at all levels of an organization
- Ability to multi-task effectively, working in team environments or independently
- Proven process-improvement Track Record
- Four year university degree in accounting, finance or economics - MBA or CPA preferred
- Experience with financial systems- Hyperion, Oracle, Business Objects, Saleforce.com application
- Experience in improving/advancing existing financial systems to improve data accessibility and flexibility
