For more than 9 years, salesforce.com has been operating in Europe. More than 600 regional employees work in Sales, Professional Services, Customer Support, Marketing, Finance, and other G&A roles. Our Dublin, Ireland, office is the European hub for our Corporate Sales organisation, focused on delivering customer solutions to companies with 1–1,000 employees. Dublin has doubled in size in the last year and now has more than 200 employees supporting all of Europe. The Dublin office is in a state-of-the-art building in Sandyford Business Park, only 20 minutes from the City Centre. With 10 offices across Europe, our Enterprise Sales organisation focuses on field sales to customers and prospects with more than 1,000 employees. We have teams focused on regional as well as vertical markets. To support this expansion into vertical markets, we’ve recently opened a new office in the heart of the City of London and a new facility including customer training facilities in Staines, Middlesex.
We have an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst, reporting to the Sales and Services Finance Manager- EMEA. This is a key position that will be responsible for providing multiple planning and reporting tasks for the Consulting organization spread across 10+ countries in EMEA and the Education organization based in the UK. The role will act as a business partner for senior management and line managers within both organizations providing guidance on financial and operational matters.
Responsibilities:
- Provide financial reporting metrics for the various Regional Managers within the Consulting and Education organizations
- Controlling duties (monthly and quarterly closes) for Consulting and Education
- Maintain and run the Revenue financial model for Consulting EMEA
- Build a Training Revenue financial model for the EMEA Education organization
- Involved in month end and quarter end close expense items including accruals, reclasses and transfers as applicable.
- Work closely with the Consulting Services Operations team in developing and implementing processes that will improve efficiencies within business. Items include financial dashboards, forecasting tools and others (capacity, utilization, etc..)
- Drive planning processes (Forecast and Budget) for the Consulting and Education line-of-businesses
- Align with Corporate finance counterparts to ensure consistency of processes, accounting & reporting
- Track, report and analyze the Authorized Training Centers performance (in Germany, Netherlands and France)
- Perform various ad-hoc analyses
- Headcount reporting
- Build, run and maintain Regional reporting packages
Required Skills/Experience:
- Four year university degree in accounting, finance or economics - MBA, ACCA or equivalent preferred
- 5 to 8 years of relevant public company work experience
- Experience supporting a Services organization desired
- Consulting, Software or Software-as-a-Service industry experience a plus
- Strong communication (written and verbal), organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, along with attention to details
- Ability to multi-task and team player with the ability to work well independently and keep cool under pressure
- Computer expert with Microsoft Office products (excel, outlook, power-point)
- Experience with financial systems like Hyperion, Essbase, Oracle, Business Objects needed, Salesforce.com application knowledge a plus.
