Analyst - Sales Strategy

The Analyst will play a critical role in the Sales Strategy group supporting the international sales team in day to day operations as well as long range planning. The selected candidate will share responsibility for identifying and reporting on key indicators of sales performance and market opportunity. Projects will include business planning, market segmentation/coverage and ongoing performance measurement. Deliverables take the form analytic models, custom performance analysis, scalable reporting infrastructure and presentation content for executives. The successful candidate will possess a passion for creating scalable, repeatable analytics and innovative analysis.

Responsibilities:
  • Create the analytics to help improve Salesforce.com’s market coverage models
  • Support ongoing analysis of business performance
  • Assist with analysis and reporting for annual planning and business planning exercises.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of optimum sales territories
  • Expand the analytical infrastructure with scalable reports and tools
  • Work cross-functionally to establish reporting standards
  • Tackle the analytical leg work required to inform executive decisions on a daily basis


Required Skills/Experience:
  • Relevent work experience, ideally in finance, operations, IT or business analytics
  • Degree from top tier University preferably in an analytical discipline such as engineering, computer science, etc.
  • Excellent quantitative analysis and modeling skills as well as an ability to effectively present and communicate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Expertise in data analysis tools such as Business Objects, SQL, Access, Excel etc.
  • Ability to succeed in a collaborative, start-up paced environment
  • Desirable experience running analysis using Salesforce.com
