Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff Named World-Class Innovator by DEMO

Benioff honored for commitment to the ASP software delivery model

SAN FRANCISCO — Feb. 15, 2005 — Salesforce.com [NYSE: CRM], the technology and market leader in on-demand customer relationship management (CRM), today announced that chairman and CEO Marc Benioff has received a World-Class Innovator award from DEMO, in recognition of his success "for almost single-handedly legitimizing the ASP business model" for software distribution. In addition to Benioff, other World-Class Innovator Award recipients include Sergey Brin and Larry Page, co-founders of Google [NSDQ: GOOG]; Howard D. Elias, executive vice president of EMC Corp. [NYSE: EMC]; and Marc Andreessen, chairman of Opsware [NSDQ: OSPW].

The World-Class Innovator Awards, being presented for the first time as part of the conference's 15th anniversary celebration, honor 15 technology industry visionaries who launched their companies at DEMO in years past. Salesforce.com introduced its sales force automation (SFA) solution at DEMO in 2000 and presented critical expansions in 2001 and 2002.
