Salesforce.com Announces Integration with Microsoft Office Live Meeting

Salesforce.com's customers to launch live meetings from within the application to more effectively communicate with their customers, partners and colleagues

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — March 8, 2005 — Salesforce.com [NYSE: CRM], the market and technology leader in on-demand customer relationship management (CRM), today announced it is working to deliver integrated real-time collaboration solutions built on Microsoft Office Live Meeting, an online collaboration and Web conferencing service, to help businesses better communicate and collaborate with geographically dispersed customers, partners and colleagues. The Salesforce.com integration with Live Meeting provides a seamless integrated Web conferencing experience that can be originated directly from within Salesforce.com. Together, these solutions will allow salesforce.com's approximately 227,000 subscribers and 13,900 customers one click access to Live Meeting, allowing them to manage their Web conferencing interactions in context with the rest of their customer information. The integration of the solutions will be completed through sforce, and continues the use of open Web services standards to connect Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office System solutions.

The integration between the two services will allow customers to quickly launch a Live Meeting session from Salesforce.com and capture all relevant information from the meeting inside the Salesforce.com application. Salesforce.com will work closely with Microsoft to promote integrated and complimentary products to their customer base. This continues salesforce.com's strategic relationship with Microsoft, building on the work of providing tight integration between Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office System productivity applications.

"Salesforce.com is committed to providing its customers with the most powerful on-demand CRM and integrating with the most popular desktop applications, like the Microsoft Office System," said Marc Benioff, Chairman and CEO of salesforce.com. "Our ongoing relationship with Microsoft, including this integration with Microsoft Office Live Meeting, allows our customers to more effectively communicate with their customers, partners and colleagues."

"Microsoft is pleased to be working with Salesforce.com to deliver the best collaboration experience to customers," said Taylor Collyer, senior director of product management, Real-Time Collaboration Business Unit at Microsoft Corp. "The integration of Salesforce.com with Live Meeting will give organizations a powerful new solution for managing relationships, increasing customer connection and collaborating more effectively — all driving better business results."

The Live Meeting integration is made possible through sforce, salesforce.com's client/service integration platform. Today, a variety of systems and platforms, including enterprise applications, desktop solutions, mobile devices and IP phone systems integrate with Salesforce.com and Supportforce via the sforce Web service API, making key business information available to users from all of their favorite applications and tools.
