Salesforce.com Named Market Leader Award Winner by CRM Magazine in Three Categories for the Second Year in a Row

Salesforce.com is the only company to receive awards in the following three categories: Enterprise, Midmarket, and Small Business Suite CRM

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — October 5, 2005 — Salesforce.com (NYSE: CRM), the market and technology leader in on-demand customer relationship management (CRM), today announced that the company has been recognized by CRM magazine as an award winning vendor in all three market segments. For the second year in a row, salesforce.com is the only company to be cited across the three Market Leader awards categories, for Enterprise Suite CRM, Midmarket Suite CRM, and Small Business Suite CRM.

The CRM Market Leader awards recognize the top five vendors in eight categories based on a combination of weighted criteria, including revenues and revenue growth, market share, reputation for customer satisfaction, reputation for company direction, and depth of functionality. The awards are part of the magazine's 2005 CRM Leader Awards, which recognize superior performance in three areas: ROI excellence in customer companies, individual achievement, and vendor leadership. The full story is available in the October 2005 issue of CRM magazine.

"Salesforce.com has established and proven the success of the on-demand model in this industry," said CRM magazine Editor-in-Chief David Myron. "The company shows strong potential for the future, as its high marks for customer satisfaction continue to drive its growth."

"Salesforce is customizable for businesses of any size, no matter how simple or complex their CRM needs are," said salesforce.com chairman and CEO Marc Benioff. "The flexibility of Salesforce, and the new enhancements we've made with the Appforce platform are some key factors behind our adoption by companies of all sizes all around the world."
