Scottish developers use AppExchange to deliver solutions to customers worldwide

Telephone Preference Service calling solution available for use directly within Salesforce

INVERNESS, Scotland & SAN FRANCISCO — April 25, 2006 —Upside Outcomes Limited, Scotland's leading provider of on-demand marketing decision technology, and salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM) the market and technology leader in on-demand customer relationship management (CRM), today announced the availability of TPS Update for salesforce.com's AppExchange. Salesforce.com customers can now deploy TPS Update within their Salesforce implementation to support legal compliance with the requirements of the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003. TPS Update is immediately available for test drive and deployment at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange.

TPS Update for AppExchange is a simple-to-use application that provides a quick and efficient means of screening Contact and Account data in Salesforce against the United Kingdom Telephone Preference Service (TPS) lists. Contacts are flagged by TPS Update and their numbers are moved to custom fields to help prevent their accidental inclusion in call-lists. The current UK penalty for calling a suppressed number stands at £5000 per call.

With AppExchange, salesforce.com customers now have access to new applications that bring the benefits of salesforce.com to an entire business, letting them manage and share all of their company information on-demand. Using AppExchange, companies can easily add any number of new on-demand applications to their existing Salesforce deployments, extending their success and making the full power and creativity of the salesforce.com customer, partner and developer community available with just a click.

"Compliance with telephone preference is important to both businesses and consumers. Companies obviously wish to avoid the heavy penalties for making unwanted calls, and need to avoid long-term damage to their reputation by annoying potential customers," said Gareth Davies, CEO and founder of Upside Outcomes. "We are very proud to be the first Scottish company to make technology available using salesforce.com's AppExchange on-demand platform. I believe that salesforce.com has started an exciting new wave of disruptive innovation; innovation which allows Upside Outcomes to deliver solutions from our creative base in the heart of the Scottish Highlands direct to our customer implementations anywhere in the world — at the click of a button. We are working hard to make more of our customer-tracking and decision-support solutions available to users of salesforce.com via the AppExchange platform."

"Upside Outcomes represents the power of the AppExchange and the on-demand computing model," said Adam Gross, vice president, developer marketing, salesforce.com. "The TPS Update solution for Salesforce is an excellent example of how developers worldwide can quickly and easily build and deliver on-demand solutions for both local markets and global deployments with the AppExchange.

TPS Update for AppExchange is one of more than 200 applications created by salesforce.com, its customers and partners that are now available on the salesforce.com AppExchange, the world's first on-demand application platform.
