Datacraft Asia Pacific Deploys Salesforce.com to 300 Users, Across 13 Countries in Less Than 8 Weeks using Salesforce.com's AppExchange Platform

Leading Asia Pacific systems and network integration provider achieves 98% sales forecast accuracy and 13 consecutive quarters of growth with salesforce.com

SAN FRANCISCO — June 19, 2006 — Salesforce.com [NYSE: CRM], the market and technology leader in on-demand business services, today announced that Datacraft, a leading IT services company in Asia Pacific, has successfully improved sales forecasting and performance with salesforce.com's Sales Force Automation (SFA). Since the deployment, SFA has helped Datacraft achieve 13 consecutive quarters of growth in an increasingly competitive operating environment.

Datacraft is one of the 22,700 companies of all sizes, industries and geographies that is a part of the salesforce.com customer base as of April 30, 2006. Revenue and subscribers are recognized as the service is delivered.

To support rapid growth and an increased portfolio of services, Datacraft customized and implemented Salesforce SFA in under eight weeks to 300 Datacraft users across 13 Asia Pacific countries last year. Within six months, the company's entire sales force embraced the system, benefiting from on-demand access to real-time information on resources and critical client information, customised management dashboards and simplified sales operations.

Prior to implementing salesforce.com, Datacraft was using a custom, in-house developed solution, but it was unable to support the growing volume of Datacraft's regional business. After an extensive evaluation based on thorough ROI and TCO analysis, Salesforce SFA was selected as it reduced Datacraft's implementation cost by more than 30%.

Leveraging salesforce.com's highly flexible and customisable features, senior managers at Datacraft are able to generate reports on all aspects of their sales operations, based on geography, teams or conversion probabilities. This flexibility empowers them to make better-informed predictions on sales, leading to an unprecedented 98% accuracy in sales forecasting.

"Salesforce.com's on-demand model has allowed us to automate what were previously time-consuming manual processes. This immediately provided us with 50% more visibility of the sales pipeline," said Eddie Palmer, Head of Business Development at Datacraft. "We have now extended the use of on-demand across our entire business giving us far greater control over our development and fiscal processes, together with the ability to react more quickly to customer demands."

Datacraft also plans to capitalize on the on-demand capabilities of salesforce.com's AppExchange platform, which will allow the company to rollout and integrate their customized solutions globally.

"We have been impressed with the flexibility of the salesforce.com applications, and now with the AppExchange, we will not only customize our existing CRM applications but use the AppExchange as an on-demand platform to extend its benefits globally," added Palmer. "This has validated what we've known from the beginning — that we made the right choice with salesforce.com."

Salesforce.com's AppExchange platform is the world's first on-demand application-sharing service, offering customers a diverse array of online applications and components to suit any requirement. Businesses can browse, test drive and install applications developed on the platform. Through the platform, Datacraft will be able to extend its on-demand environment and business offerings to customers by building and sharing applications online, customizing applications to specific business needs, and consolidating new and existing applications into a single system in which all information can be accessed and shared online.

"Salesforce.com is working with organisations across Asia Pacific to make fast, simple, and cost effective on-demand business solutions a reality," said Steve Russell, President and CEO of salesforce.com, Asia Pacific. "The benefits realised by Datacraft through Salesforce.com SFA are strong testimony to the power of on-demand software."
