Company nets nominations for “Best CRM Solution”
for the sixth year; first time nominations for
“Best On-demand Platform,” “Best Mobile Solution” and “Best Corporate
Blog”
SAN FRANCISCO – January 24, 2007 – Salesforce.com [NYSE: CRM], the market and technology leader in
on-demand business services, today announced that the Software & Information Industry
Association (SIIA) has recognized the company as a finalist for four 2007 CODiE Awards.
Salesforce.com received nominations for: Salesforce, for “Best
CRM Solution”; Apex (formerly AppExchange), for “Best On-demand
Platform”; Apex (formerly AppExchange) Mobile, for “Best Mobile Solution”; and IdeaExchange, for “
Best Corporate Blog.” This is the sixth consecutive year that salesforce.com has been nominated for
Best CRM Solution; the company won the award in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Established in 1986, the CODiE Awards are the longest-running awards program in the software
and information industry, and acknowledge the most innovative products and services. SIIA, which
presents the awards, is the principal trade association for the software and digital content
industry. Over 1,200 product nominations were submitted for CODiE Awards in 72 categories.
“We’re proud to be recognized by the CODiE judges for the sixth straight year as one of the
best CRM solutions,” said Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO of salesforce.com. “Over the last year,
our Apex platform completely transformed how companies approach building applications and
integrating systems; and we began to engage with our community in a whole new way through
IdeaExchange. Being recognized for these efforts with four CODiE Award nominations is a testament
to our industry leadership and the success of on-demand.”
The CODiE Awards nominations were judged by software and information industry trade
journalists, national technology writers and analysts, and education technology specialists. The
final round of judging will be conducted by members of SIIA, making this the only peer-review
awards program in the industry.
