financial services organizations standardizing on Salesforce for Financial Services. The
company used the Force.com platform to integrate a Great Plains accounting system and Charles
Schwab Portfolio Center with Salesforce, so its employees across the country have instant access to
the critical business information they need to succeed. Now United Capital Financial Advisers
has the ability to share information while monitoring and controlling access to ensure it meets
stringent recordkeeping requirements.
United Capital Financial Advisers is one of the 35,300 companies of all sizes, industries and
geographies that comprised the salesforce.com customer base as of July 31, 2007. Revenue and
subscribers will be recognized as the service is delivered.

systems. The Salesforce system consolidates this customer information from more than a dozen
offices across the country so that United Capital Financial Advisers now has a complete view of all
customers from any location in one system. This level of data consolidation also helps the
company ensure recordkeeping protocol is properly adhered to at all times while allowing for more
coordinated company-wide client mailings, such as annual ADV II offers or Privacy Notice mailings.
The Great Plains and Charles Schwab Portfolio Center integrations make additional financial
and portfolio performance data instantly accessible from within Salesforce so that United Capital
Financial Advisers' account teams can quickly meet customer needs and proactively manage financial
advice and investment solutions. The company also used the Force.com platform to customize
the solution for tracking and managing customer data such as bond maturity dates, life insurance
accounts, to provide insight into client asset tracking, and the ability to assist clients with
recommendations on asset buy or sell requirements that might arise.
