United Capital Financial Advisers Standardizes on Salesforce for Financial Services to Support Growing Wealth Management Business

National wealth management firm leverages the Force.com platform to integrate Salesforce with other business applications and help meet record keeping requirements

SAN FRANCISCO - October 9, 2007 - Salesforce.com [NYSE: CRM], the market and technology leader in on-demand business services, today announced that United Capital Financial Advisers, Inc., a national wealth management firm, has joined 1,600 other financial services organizations standardizing on Salesforce for Financial Services.  The company used the Force.com platform to integrate a Great Plains accounting system and Charles Schwab Portfolio Center with Salesforce, so its employees across the country have instant access to the critical business information they need to succeed.  Now United Capital Financial Advisers has the ability to share information while monitoring and controlling access to ensure it meets stringent recordkeeping requirements.

United Capital Financial Advisers is one of the 35,300 companies of all sizes, industries and geographies that comprised the salesforce.com customer base as of July 31, 2007. Revenue and subscribers will be recognized as the service is delivered.

"When we decided to deploy Salesforce, we were looking for a contact management system.  We found that Salesforce gave us so much more," said Gary Roth, Chief Operating Officer at United Capital Financial Advisers.  "The Force.com platform has enabled us to integrate all of our business information into a central location enabling us to save a tremendous amount of time that we used to spend on compiling and reporting data both internally and to our Board of Directors.  It has also helped us save time in terms of the records we maintain and must open to examination by regulatory agencies."

United Capital Financial Advisers grew over the past two years both organically and through acquisitions and, as a result, acquired and maintained key customer data in multiple, disparate systems.  The Salesforce system consolidates this customer information from more than a dozen offices across the country so that United Capital Financial Advisers now has a complete view of all customers from any location in one system.  This level of data consolidation also helps the company ensure recordkeeping protocol is properly adhered to at all times while allowing for more coordinated company-wide client mailings, such as annual ADV II offers or Privacy Notice mailings.

The Great Plains and Charles Schwab Portfolio Center integrations make additional financial and portfolio performance data instantly accessible from within Salesforce so that United Capital Financial Advisers' account teams can quickly meet customer needs and proactively manage financial advice and investment solutions.  The company also used the Force.com platform to customize the solution for tracking and managing customer data such as bond maturity dates, life insurance accounts, to provide insight into client asset tracking, and the ability to assist clients with recommendations on asset buy or sell requirements that might arise.

"We've gained so many efficiencies and process improvements with Salesforce, and I think we've just barely tapped into its potential," added Roth.  "Looking forward, we'll be exploring the AppExchange to see what other features and functionality will help us grow our business and help our advisers and employees with improved efficiencies and become even more successful."
