Ingres Corporation is a leading provider of enterprise open source information management services. Established when Computer Associates divested its open source database group, Ingres IT had no servers or data centers and needed to build its computing infrastructure from scratch. As Ingres moves more of its business tools into the cloud, the company needs to address the sometimes competing needs of security and convenience. Providing employees with single sign-on capabilities for Salesforce CRM and other business applications was important, but Harr didn’t want to sacrifice security.

Ingres had unique financial management requirements following its divestiture from Computer Associates.  The company had pre-existing income streams and legacy customers that it needed to support. With offices in the US, Europe, Australia, Latin America, India, and Asia, it also required a solution that could handle complex global transactions.

Vtrenz is an easy-to-use demand generation solution enabling Ingres marketers to create, execute, and automate results-oriented marketing campaigns from within Salesforce CRM.  The solution automatically updates each Salesforce CRM record with campaign response data. Harr also appreciated Vtenz’s support for his company’s specific needs including webinar marketing and whitepaper distribution. “It’s a great value,” he says.
