Dreamforce volunteer event
Start your Dreamforce experience with a smile… and a little sweat. This year’s Dreamforce volunteer event will channel the energy of hundreds of Dreamforce attendees—plus salesforce.com employees, families, and friends—into a community project.
Our ongoing commitment to sustainability guided this year’s volunteer event selection: the EcoCenter at Heron's Head Park, San Francisco's first environmental education facility that is a 100-percent off-the-grid building. The center will generate its own energy, treat its own wastewater, maintain a living green roof, and serve as a hands-on center of education in sustainable building practices.
Volunteer tasks for the Tuesday, November 17 event will include:
- Planting a living roof over the front door area
- Assisting in the construction of wetlands
- Creating permeable pathways around the classrooms
- Building planters, sign holders, and benches outside
- Designing and creating a mosaic tile wall
