Q: Tell me more about the organizations:
A: Due to the overwhelming response from our past Dreamforce volunteer events, we felt it necessary to find more sites to accommodate more volunteers in order to make your experience more rewarding.

St. Joseph's Family Center is a unique and comprehensive program serving homeless families in San Francisco. St. Joseph's provides homeless families and homeless pregnant women with 24 hour shelter, 3 meals a day, and an array of clinical and supportive services designed to help them address their issues surrounding homelessness and work towards a position of economic self-sufficiency and stable housing.

Westside Community Services has been providing an array of community-based prevention, mental health, substance abuse, and social services to clients in the City and County of San Francisco for 40 years. Incorporated in 1967, Westside is one of the oldest community-based mental health agencies in the nation. The range of programs and services has varied over the years, while a commitment to providing excellent, high-quality, culturally and community appropriate programs has remained central to the core of the organization.

Q: Where and when should I meet up with the group?
A: The projects are located at:

St. Joseph’s Family Center
210 10th Street, San Francisco, CA 94103

We will provide shuttle busses from the Moscone Center to the designated sites in addition to explicit directions should you decide to drive or take a cab.

Q: How will I know which location I’ll be volunteering at?
A: We will randomly assign volunteer locations. You will receive confirmation and directions one week before the event. If you have a preference of community project or would like to be with a colleague, please indicate it in the comments section of your sign up.

Q: Will lunch be provided?
A: Absolutely!

Q: Why should I give up my Saturday to do this?
A: Because it's a fun and inspirational way to start your week! Salesforce.com employees, who all give 1% of their time to the community, have overwhelmed us with their enthusiasm for community service. In fact, it's their passion that inspired us to organize this service event for the greater salesforce.com community. It's a wonderful opportunity to really get to know this community - while also making a difference in the lives of others in need.

Q: Where can I get more information on the Salesforce.com Foundation?
A: Another easy one! Right here: http://www.salesforcefoundation.org/  or email: volunteer@salesforce.com with any questions.
