Q: Tell me more about the organizations:
A: The vision of the Salesforce.com Foundation,
www.salesforcefoundation.org, is
to use salesforce.com’s people, partners, technology and relationships to improve our communities
and to inspire young people to be successful. We do this through our 1% model: Salesforce.com gives
1% of its employee time, 1% of its equity, and 1% of its product to great nonprofit organizations
around the world.
Young Enteprise London www.yelondon.com, works to inspire and equip young people in London to learn and succeed through experience of enterprise, so that all young people in London will have the opportunity to gain personal experience of how business works, understand the role it plays in providing employment and creating prosperity, and be inspired to improve their own life prospects.
Q: Where and when should I meet up with the group?
A: More details coming soon - we are looking for a fabulous venue at the moment
Q: Will lunch be provided?
A: Absolutely!
Q: Why should I give up my Tuesday afternoon to do this?
A: Because it's a fun and inspirational way to start your week! Salesforce.com employees, who all give 1% of their time to the community, have overwhelmed us with their enthusiasm for community service – see www.salesforcefoundation.org/volblogs/all/. In fact, it's their passion that inspired us to organize this service event for the greater salesforce.com community.
Q: Where can I get more information on the Salesforce.com Foundation?
A: Another easy one! Right here: http://www.salesforcefoundation.org/ or email: volunteer@salesforce.com with any questions.
