Salesforce.com and TIBCO form Strategic Partnership to Deliver First Subscription-based Integration Between Salesforce.com S3 and Enterprise Applications

Salesforce.com to offer TIBCO's leading platform for integration of salesforce.com S3 with Oracle Applications, PeopleSoft, SAP, Siebel, and Lotus Notes

NEW YORK CITY - June 23, 2003 - Salesforce.com®, the world leader in delivering software-as-service, today announced a strategic alliance with TIBCO Software Inc. (NASDAQ:TIBX), a leading enabler of real-time business and the leading independent business integration software company in the world, to enable integration between the newly announced salesforce.com S3 and Siebel (NASDAQ: SEBL), SAP (NYSE: SAP), Oracle (NASDAQ: ORCL), PeopleSoft (NASDAQ: PSFT) and Lotus Notes (NYSE: IBM) software. The salesforce.com Integration Server, powered by TIBCO, brings the same low-risk, pay-as-you-go model that salesforce.com pioneered to the enterprise application integration space. TIBCO also joins 6,700 other salesforce.com customers worldwide who have deployed salesforce.com worldwide.

"With more than 93,000 active users worldwide, salesforce.com is the undisputed leader in software-as-service," said salesforce.com chairman and CEO Marc Benioff. The new salesforce.com Integration Server, powered by TIBCO, available in the third quarter of this year, will provide salesforce.com customers with the ability to rapidly integrate salesforce.com S3 with the most widely deployed software packages on the market. Utilizing sforce, the salesforce.com client/service application builder, the salesforce.com Integration Server provides the first service offering in the enterprise application integration space offered by salesforce.com, eliminating the need for customers to write custom code to integrate salesforce.com S3 with back-end systems. Instead, customers will use TIBCO's proven technology to make integration simple, easy, and cost-effective.

Salesforce.com S3 is the strongest, smartest, and simplest way yet to manage customer relationships — without software.
