Salesforce.com Receives 2007 Corporate Sector Award

market and technology leader in on-demand business services, today announced it won the first
Corporate Sector Award given out at the recent South County Dublin Community Awards. Salesforce.com
employees, who work with the Citywise Education Centre, were nominated for the award by Volunteer
Centres Ireland (VCI)."We are honoured to win this Corporate Sector Award. Our staff appreciate the
importance of contributing back to the community," said Kieran Carrick, regional vice president
Corporate Services at salesforce.com.
Salesforce.com has been involved with the Citywise Education Centre for the last three years
in a variety of ways. For example, salesforce.com volunteers bring youth from Citywise to the
pre-Christmas ice skating event at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) and help Citywise leaders run
sports days, which include basketball, obstacles, dance, and arts and crafts. Salesforce.com
employees also regularly volunteer on the Citywise Fast Track program, which is aimed at helping
youth in underserved areas to prepare for their Junior and Leaving Cert examinations.
In addition, salesforce.com recently developed the new volunteer vacancy search page and a
volunteer application page on the VCI's website. Terri O'Brien of the VCI said, "Our staff
treasures the fact that the database is so easy to update. We only add or edit a volunteer
opportunity once in the database and the web information is automatically updated."
As part of the awards, salesforce.com was recognized for its innovative corporate
philanthropy model. Anne Byrne of South Dublin County Council said, "The salesforce.com 1% model is
a great example to other corporate organisations."
