Salesforce.com Placed in the Leaders Quadrant for Sales Force Automation Magic Quadrant

Evaluation based on ability to execute and completeness of vision

SAN FRANCISCO, USA & Dublin, Ireland; Tuesday, 11th August, 2009: Salesforce.com, the enterprise cloud computing company, today announced that it has been positioned in the Leaders quadrant in Gartner’s latest Magic Quadrant for Sales Force Automation[1]. According to Gartner, "Leaders demonstrate market-defining vision of how technology can help the top sales executives achieve business objectives. Leaders have the ability to execute against that vision through products, services and demonstrated solid business results in the form of revenue and earnings. Leaders have significant successful customer deployments in North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia/Pacific in a wide variety of vertical industries with multiple proof points above 500 users.”

“Salesforce.com is thrilled to be placed in the leaders quadrant. We believe the company is not only setting the standard for the CRM industry, but cloud computing as well,” said Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO at salesforce.com. “Most importantly, we would like to thank our nearly 60,000 customers – it is their unparalleled success that motivates us everyday.”

A decade ago, salesforce.com pioneered cloud computing for the enterprise by developing and delivering the world’s most popular CRM application, Salesforce CRM, made up of the Sales Cloud and the Service Cloud. The Sales Cloud is the world’s leading sales application. With 29 major releases over the last ten years and partnerships with other major cloud computing companies like Google, Facebook and Amazon.com, the Sales Cloud has been providing companies with a 360-degree, real-time view of customers regardless of location or device. Today, the Sales Cloud is loved by reps and depended on by managers because it helps sales organisations be more productive and close more deals. Almost 60,000 companies like Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, 24 Hour Fitness, Cisco and Dell have already standardised on the Sales Cloud.
