Run a search

What:

The Sales Cloud gives you powerful search capabilities across the app, including accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, Chatter posts, and more.

Why:

Sometimes, you may not be sure exactly what it is that you are looking for, or where it is.   Salesforce’s flexible universal search allows you to use a few simple keywords or search terms to find information across the entire application in one easy step.

How:

  1. Enter your search term(s) in the search dialog at the top of the page.
  2. If you’d like to limit the search to particular records or fields, choose the Options dropdown and select the filters you would like to use.
  3. Click Search. That’s it, you’re done!
