Hands-on Training for Force.com Developers
If you’re a developer who wants to create SaaS applications, our training helps get you up to speed quickly. You will learn how to use the Force.com tools, Visualforce, the Apex programming language, and our development environment.
The first step is Force.com Essentials, where you’ll learn how to create applications without coding with our "clicks not code" tools. In Visualforce, Apex, and DaaS, you'll learn to use our development language and environment for more complex tasks. After you complete the courses in this learning path, you’re eligible to take the exams to become a Force.com Certified Developer or Force.com Certified Advanced Developer, respectively.
DEV 401 Force.com Essentials
Designed for developers who want to start building SaaS applications, this course gives a
hands-on overview of the powerful Force.com capabilities. You'll learn how to build a sophisticated
application from start to finish, without writing code. You’ll find out how to design an
application, create custom objects, use workflow and rules to automate processes, and build the
user interface. This course is a prerequisite to DEV 501 - Visualforce, Apex, and DaaS. DEV 401
participants are eligible to take the
Salesforce.com Certified Force.com Developer exam when it
becomes available. It’s included in the price of the course. (5 days, classroom)
DEV 501 Visualforce, Apex, and DaaS
For experienced developers, this hands-on course offers a deep dive into the Force.com
capabilities. You’ll learn to build and deploy Force.com applications using Visualforce, Apex, and
development-as-a-service (DaaS) resources. These resources include a rich development environment,
team development and debugging best practices, and powerful deployment capabilities. DEV 501
participants are eligible to take the
Salesforce.com Certified Force.com Advanced Developer exam
when it becomes available. It’s included in the price of the course. (5 days, classroom)
