Q. How do I know when I click on these links that the match is being added?

Each of these Web pages were specifically built by World Vision and the American Red Cross for the Salesforce.com Foundation matching program with unique URLs to track your donations.

Q. I live outside of the United States and would like to participate in the matching program, but it looks like I need a U.S. address to complete some of the forms.

The American Red Cross accepts international donations, which will be sent to local affiliates aiding Haiti. However, the donation must be made in U.S. dollars and a 3-digit credit card verification code is required. For World Vision, we are working on a resolution for international donors, but as of this time, only U.S. donors are able to participate. If you’d like to donate to World Vision in your country visit: http://www.wvi.org/wvi/wviweb.nsf. Salesforce.com international employees who wish to donate to World Vision International or who are having trouble with these donations should visit the company intranet for solutions and specific instructions on how you can participate.

No. At this time, our campaign is targeting funds to World Vision and the American Red Cross exclusively. If you are a salesforce.com employee, you are welcome to use your regular matching dollars to support other organizations.

Q. I am an international disaster-relief NGO and would like to be on the list to receive matching funds. Is this possible?

Thank you for your contribution and efforts to assist the victims of this crisis. However, we are not taking new organizations for our short list of recipient NGOs at this time. If you are interested in getting on a future short list for salesforce.com matching funds, please send an email to foundation@salesforce.com, and we will get back to you with the criteria for joining this program in the future.

Q. We are doing a fundraiser at my church/school. Can the Salesforce.com Foundation match these funds collectively?

We will match any online donations that come in through the links provided. If an organization pools money together and donates it through this site before the matching limits are reached, that contribution will be matched dollar for dollar; there is no cap on individual donation amounts. We cannot take checks, wires, or cash donations through this program. If individuals donate to a school or church, they would get the tax receipt from that organization directly and the church or school would then need to make an online donation through our site before the matching limits are reached.

Q. I made a donation on January 12th before the matching program was announced. Can you retroactively match my donation?

Thank you for responding quickly! Unfortunately we can only match donations that were made through this campaign in order to track it correctly. If you are a salesforce.com employee and used your existing matching money for this disaster, you can replenish your pool of matching funds as long as you provide a receipt for your donation. Please see the Haiti FAQ on the intranet for more specific instructions.

Q. How are you tracking the donations? Can you publish a link so that we can see where we are in the campaign?

We are working with World Vision and the American Red Cross to provide tracking information, but at this time they are not able to do so. We will be getting regular reports from these organizations so we can track the match internally and will let the community know when the match has been met.
