Challenge

  • Waypoint Real Estate Group, a Bay Area real estate firm, needed a technology platform to automate the process of purchasing, renovating, and leasing homes in areas hit hard by the housing crisis
  • 46 employees and 75 independent contractors needed to access critical market and business information both in the office and the field from a variety of mobile devices, including iPhones and iPads
  • Complex acquisition and management processes for each home required a robust platform that could be customized and scaled on a budget
 

Solution

  • A top technology executive had used the Sales Cloud at a previous company and knew it would be the right fit for the company
  • When construction is complete, the information is sent through Salesforce to the leasing team, which uses the Sales Cloud to market and sell to prospective tenants
  • Sales and leasing employees in the field use iPads to access Salesforce; when a property is leased, they simply push a button in the app and the property’s profile disappears from the available property list
