New Integration Option Connects Web Service with Back-End Systems
AUSTIN, TX & SAN FRANCISCO, CA — October 15, 2001 — Salesforce.com, the market leader in online customer relationship management (CRM), today announced a strategic partnership with Data Junction Corporation, developers of the world's most widely deployed data integration solutions, to provide new integration capabilities for salesforce.com customers. This new integration option will provide an efficient means to link salesforce.com's online CRM service with other enterprise systems and applications, at a substantially lower cost and timeframe than traditional enterprise application integration project approaches.
Salesforce.com has built its online CRM solution on an open XML platform in order to overcome the integration difficulties inherent in many web services and traditional client-server applications. Data Junction's award-winning solution, Data Junction Integration Suite, interoperates with salesforce.com's XML API. Featuring visual tools and an intuitive user interface, Data Junction Integration Suite seamlessly connects salesforce.com's online application to various back-end systems, as well as other business applications, providing an additional conduit for data sharing, manipulation, enrichment, and transfer. Companies can implement the joint solution in less than 30 days, without relying on expensive outside consultants or lengthy back-end plumbing projects.
"This partnership is an important step in providing our customers with a more flexible, open system that supports our overall integration strategy," said John Dillon, president and CEO of salesforce.com. "Data Junction is a proven leader in the integration market and their strong commitment to ease of use and cost-effectiveness reflects our own approach of delivering online enterprise applications at a fraction of the cost and risk associated with traditional software."
"There is no doubt we are a more competitive and successful enterprise as a result of using salesforce.com," stated Rodric O'Connor, vice president of technology at Putnam Lovell Securities, Inc., a salesforce.com customer. "This new partnership with Data Junction will further increase our productivity and ROI by allowing us to better manipulate all of our enterprise data. The ability to make mass changes to our customer data will allow us to increase its quality and subsequently its relevance."
"We are pleased to partner with salesforce.com, the clear leader in online CRM, and offer their customers a solution to easily integrate with other critical business applications," stated Michael Hoskins, President of Data Junction. "We are eager to extend our solution to support Web services, and this alliance gives us the perfect opportunity to drive the growth of cost-effective, alternate integration."
