Salesforce.com Chairman Selected as Computerworld Honors Laureate for His Visionary use of Information Technology to Produce and Promote Positive Social Change

Sun Microsystems nominates Marc Benioff and salesforce.com for inclusion in Computerworld Honors Program and consideration for Program's 21st Century Achievement Award

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — April 9, 2002 — Salesforce.com, a market leader in online customer relationship management (CRM), today announced that Chairman and CEO Marc Benioff has been selected as a 2002 Computerworld Honors Laureate for his efforts promoting the notion of "business as service". Copies of the Computerworld Honors case study on Marc Benioff and salesforce.com will be distributed to more than 150 museums, libraries and research institutions worldwide. Sun Microsystems, Inc. nominated salesforce.com for this honor.
