Salesforce CRM helps start-up Travel Eden shake-up the holiday rental market

Challenge

  • Travel Eden is a start-up holiday rental e-commerce website that provides listings for property owners to rent to the public across Europe. Holidaymakers are put directly in touch with property owners. It is a business-to-consumer operation which aims to have many thousands of customers.
  • Travel Eden plans to offer more than just property listings and aims to make property rental fun and informative. It will encourage feedback, in the form of comments and reviews, from registered users.
  • In order to achieve these aims, Travel Eden needed a stable, reliable CRM platform that was also flexible, easy to use and easy to manage

Solution

  • Travel Eden did not want to use a CRM system that involved purchasing servers and required dedicated IT support staff; it wanted a platform with low overheads.
  • After much research into potential CRM solutions, Travel Eden opted to take out a licence for Salesforce CRM Enterprise Edition, because it offered all the features the company required, including web access and easy integration.  
  • All of Travel Eden’s employees use Salesforce CRM in their day-to-day operations; it has become an indispensable tool for the company.

Results

  • Salesforce CRM has been fully integrated with Travel Eden’s customer contact systems including, a Skype-based telephony system, email and website contact forms. All customer contact data will go directly into Salesforce CRM.
  • The company plans to use Salesforce CRM’s self-service portal to strengthen customer relationships by encouraging feedback, comments and queries.
  • Travel Eden also aims to use Salesforce CRM in email marketing and event marketing campaigns. The company will take full advantage of Salesforce CRM’s ability to generate automated emails when chasing up leads.
