Getting Started with Salesforce Mobile

Salesforce Mobile is a powerful technology that enables mobile access to your key Salesforce and mobile certified AppExchange applications. By providing mobile access to your field users, you can greatly enhance their productivity and efficiency.

Carefully evaluate and plan your Salesforce Mobile deployment! Keep in mind that any mobile applications must be deployed over wireless networks to small, handheld devices with memory and performance constraints.

When: Are You Ready to Deploy Mobile Applications?

To confirm your organization’s readiness for mobile solutions, complete the following tasks:

Devices

  • Select and deploy handheld devices that Salesforce Mobile supports.
  • When possible, use the latest devices. Since they have more memory and faster processors, they make a better mobile experience.
  • Make sure users are familiar with the devices and comfortable with mobile email.
  • Supported Devices Include*:
    • - Blackberry 7000 and 8000 series models, with Blackberry OS of 4.0 or higher
    • - Palm OS Treo 600, 650, 680, 700p
    • - Select Pocket PC devices running Windows Mobile 5 or 6 - (contact your mobile expert)
