No more hunting around for e-mails; you can view all your past correspondence with a particular contact right from one spot, and so can colleagues with appropriate access levels.

When you’re looking at a lead and contact record in Salesforce, you don’t even have to switch over to Gmail to send a message from your business Gmail account. With a quick click of the “ Compose Gmail” button, you’re on your way, and a copy of the e-mail will be added automatically to the activity history of any Salesforce leads and contacts to whom you sent the message.

Anytime you see an e-mail address in Salesforce, you are just a click away from sending that person an e-mail through Gmail. The Gmail link next to any e-mail address field will launch you directly into a new Gmail message with the appropriate recipient e-mail in the To line. A copy of your e-mail will be added automatically to the activity history of any Salesforce leads and contacts to whom you sent the message.
