Why ASEAN is poised to lead in AI adoption<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The e-Conomy SEA 2024 report<\/a>, produced by Google, Temasek and Bain & Company, highlights the thriving ASEAN digital economy. Profitability in the region’s digital economy has surged by 2.5 times over the past two years, rising from US$4 billion in 2022 to US$11 billion in 2024. Well-planned digital investments and modern policies drive this progress, positioning the region as a global leader in AI transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A significant number of C-suite executives across ASEAN regard generative AI as vital for their business to succeed \u2014 in Singapore (87%), Thailand (84%) and Indonesia (82%) in particular. This strong focus on AI is expected to augment employees’ skills, improve productivity, and enhance customer relationships. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ASEAN Digital Masterplan 2025<\/a> also aims to cement ASEAN as a leading digital community and economic block, powered by secure and transformative digital services, technologies and ecosystems.
