Slack supports all kinds of AI agents!
Slackbot lives natively inside Slack, drawing on your organization's shared history, files, and conversations to deliver relevant, high-quality answers without ever leaving the app. Agentforce builds on that, using your trusted Salesforce data to suggest and automate actions on your behalf.
Slack also supports third-party agents available in the Slack Marketplace — including Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Perplexity, and more — for tasks like drafting content, surfacing market research, and summarizing files. And if you need something tailored to your specific workflows, you can build custom AI Assistants using purpose-built APIs, embedding them directly into Slack's UI.
Slack integrates with hundreds of tools across every category, making it a central hub for how your team works. Connect project management apps like Asana, Jira Cloud, Miro, and Notion; CRM and customer support platforms like Sales Cloud for Slack, Service Cloud, Zendesk, and HubSpot; file management tools like Google Drive, Box, and Dropbox; and developer tools like GitHub, GitLab, and PagerDuty — all without leaving Slack.
Slack is built on a foundation of enterprise-grade security and trust. All messages and files are protected by robust encryption in transit and at rest. Your company can even control its own encryption keys for extra protection.
Slack never shares your data with AI models for training, and any AI tools in Slack only have access to the messages and files your user permissions allow.
