The digital skills gap has arrived<\/a>, and unless we do something about it, it\u2019s only going to get wider. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, the Salesforce ecosystem is predicted to create over 100,000 net new jobs in Australia and New Zealand by 2026<\/a>. Most of those roles will require some form of digital skill \u2014 and in many cases those skills will be highly specialised. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

While businesses invest in digital transformation there\u2019s still a lack of digital confidence within our workforce. According to the Digital Skills Index<\/a>, 80% of Australians don’t feel ready for the digital future of work \u2014 but only 12% are investing in upskilling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filling your digital skills gap takes time, so act now<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From data analysis and visualisation to knowledge of machine learning, there\u2019s a diverse spread of digital skills that need to be developed within the Australian workforce. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kyle from Revolent said he\u2019s noticed an increasing need for specialist skills in the market \u2014 and the list is constantly evolving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe skills that we require today will not be the same as those needed in a decade, and the training we offer needs to reflect the dynamic nature of the market.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He urged businesses to think long-term and invest seriously in people and training, to avoid digital skills inertia.<\/p>\n\n\n
