At the beginning of my career, I leveraged <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/blog\/what-is-trailhead\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noopener\">Trailhead\u2014Salesforce\u2019s free online learning platform<\/a>\u2014my global network, countless tutorials, and workshops to learn about Salesforce and how to have an impact in the technology sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-representation-matters\"><strong>Representation matters<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>But the biggest influence for me has come from the Black leaders who inspire, motivate, and champion others through their work. The ones who make an impact through sharing their own experiences of being a person of color in tech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While there will always be challenges when navigating to new career heights, there\u2019s really a power in community. Better known as the Great Resignation, in the U.S., we saw <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/opub\/ted\/2022\/number-of-quits-at-all-time-high-in-november-2021.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noopener\">6.3 million job separations in November 2021<\/a>, and 4 million of those people made the decision to leave their employer and pivot into a role more in line with their talents and passion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/trailhead.salesforce.com\/?&amp;utm_source=salesforce&amp;utm_medium=blog-360&amp;utm_campaign=trailblazer_blog&amp;utm_content=ts_feb22_-jaylena-lomenech&amp;icid=SFBLOG:tbc-blog:7010M0000025ltGQAQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noopener\">Trailhead<\/a> has been an essential resource for these Trailblazers as they learn new skills and find new ways to leverage their transferable expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-trailblazer-impact\">Trailblazer impact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>An excellent example of a Trailblazer living out this growth mindset is Shayla Mark.
