Online CRM Market Leader Now Offers Real-Time Access Via Wireless Devices
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - November 18, 2002 - Salesforce.com, the market leader in online customer relationship management (CRM), today announced the upcoming introduction of its latest product offering, Airforce Wireless Edition. Salesforce.com Airforce Wireless Edition will allow sales teams to access and edit real-time, up-to-the-minute customer information in salesforce.com via their wireless devices, including personal digital assistants (PDAs) and mobile email devices. The wireless connection links users directly to the live salesforce.com CRM system, so there's no need for a local database and no synchronization hassles or data conflicts.

With Airforce Wireless Edition, salesforce.com customers will now be able to retrieve account, contact, and opportunity information, along with events and tasks, directly from salesforce.com using their BlackBerry Wireless Handheld< from Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM), wireless Pocket PC or Palm OS® device. Users will also be able to make updates to their customer and sales information. Designed expressly with the mobile salesperson in mind, Airforce Wireless Edition enables users to spend less time chasing down information and more time focused on closing deals. Generally available December 2, 2002, Wireless Edition also supports unique features such as natural language querying and custom fields.

Airforce Wireless Edition will be available starting Monday, December 2, 2002. It will be available for no additional cost to salesforce.com Enterprise Edition subscribers, and for $195/year per user for Professional Edition customers.
Beginning December 2, 2002, a special promotional partnership with Motient Corporation will offer salesforce.com customers a 30-day free trial package, including BlackBerry< handhelds, BlackBerry Enterprise Server software, wireless airtime, and the salesforce.com Airforce Wireless Edition. After the trial period, customers have the option to retain the BlackBerry handhelds for $99 each and subscribe to wireless airtime for $49/month.
