{"id":11740,"date":"2025-02-26T08:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-02-25T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/?p=11740"},"modified":"2025-02-26T08:20:14","modified_gmt":"2025-02-25T21:20:14","slug":"agentic-ai-research-executives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/au\/news\/stories\/agentic-ai-research-executives\/","title":{"rendered":"Agentic AI a Top Priority for ANZ Business Leaders"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>New YouGov research, commissioned by Salesforce, reveals C-suite executives in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) are increasingly adopting agentic AI to address a tight labour market, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abs.gov.au\/statistics\/measuring-what-matters\/measuring-what-matters-themes-and-indicators\/prosperous\/productivity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">flat productivity<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.treasury.govt.nz\/publications\/tp\/productivity-slowdown-implications-treasurys-forecasts-and-projections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">both markets<\/a>, and rising customer expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/au\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2025\/02\/Salesforce_YouGov_ANZ_AI_C-suite_Research_Report_February-2025.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The study<\/a>, which surveyed over 480 ANZ C-suite executives, found that 69% of those who prioritise AI are focusing on agentic AI over the next 12 months, with 38% already implementing the technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor customers, their last great experience is their new expectation, and all that pressure is falling on front line employees, who are more burned out than ever. ANZ business leaders are facing this while also dealing with ongoing productivity challenges and an inability to get the right people into the right roles,\u201d said <strong>Frank Fillmann, EVP and General Manager, Salesforce ANZ.<\/strong> \u201cIt\u2019s a perfect storm where supply simply doesn\u2019t meet demand. Local leaders know this can\u2019t be tackled without augmenting employees with elastic digital labour.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AI is among the top three business priorities for 79% of ANZ C-suite executives. The primary drivers include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Innovating customer and employee experiences (57%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Addressing customer expectations for faster, personalised experiences (55%)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leading the market with cutting edge technology (51%)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employee demand for AI tools (50%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhancing productivity and efficiency (49%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The main challenges identified by ANZ leaders over the next 12 months are adapting to technological change, attracting and retaining talent, and scaling their businesses to meet demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-agentic-ai-unlocking-productivity-and-growth-nbsp\"><strong>Agentic AI: unlocking productivity and growth&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Agentic AI offers opportunities for businesses to navigate these challenges with a digital labour force that works 24\/7, acting alongside humans to streamline operations, enhance productivity, reduce costs, and unlock new levels of innovation and scalability.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This technology is already making a <a methodology<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This study, \u2018C-suite perspectives on agentic AI\u2019, was conducted by YouGov online between January 14th\u201320th, 2025. The sample comprised 487 C-suite executives and above from large businesses (250+ employees) in Australia and New Zealand. The sample categorised CIOs and CTOs as technical leaders and other ANZ C-suite\/owners\/directors as non-technical leaders.
