Salesforce has also announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/au\/news\/stories\/agentforce-for-public-sector-announcement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Agentforce for Public Sect<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/government\/artificial-intelligence\/&amp;sa=D&amp;source=docs&amp;ust=1755148976465152&amp;usg=AOvVaw3qHAuXHRW3tGTKICMCkbAU\">or<\/a>, and the move to a new Canberra office to support government innovation and customer success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Index was commissioned by Salesforce and developed by AI Policy Lab and Access Partnerships. The top ranked countries including the United States, Singapore, and United Kingdom all were commended for their institutional coordination, advanced digital infrastructure, active engagement from both public and private sectors in AI adoption and the diffusion of emerging technology.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In comparison, while Australia rated well for its forward-leaning AI governance approaches and piloting AI across public services, it requires improvement in its domestic research ecosystems and capital mobilisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAustralia has a huge opportunity to use agentic AI to deliver productivity improvements for greater business growth and improved government services,\u201d said <strong>Sassoon Grigorian, Vice President Government Affairs, Salesforce APAC.<\/strong> \u201cThe establishment of a National Office of AI could align strategy across government, industry, and education and training institutions to build momentum with trust. That\u2019s why Salesforce launched<a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/au\/news\/stories\/agentforce-for-public-sector-announcement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Agentforce for Public Sector<\/a>, to augment government workers with digital labour \u2013 a digital workforce of intelligent AI agents \u2013 that can autonomously handle complex and time-consuming tasks while staying within defined guardrails.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Government departments can now use AI agents to assist employees and customers, speeding up responsiveness and enabling better support. This frees public sector employees to focus on mission-critical tasks while enabling easier, faster, and more cost-effective public services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Salesforce recently announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/au\/agentforce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Agentforce<\/a> completed an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/au\/news\/stories\/irap-assessment-agentforce-platform-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Independent Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment<\/a> and was given PROTECTED status, meeting the Australian Government\u2019s highest security standards for handling sensitive data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAustralian governments are working to unlock new levels of productivity and efficiency while maintaining the highest levels of trust and security. We\u2019re focused on helping public sector departments to achieve both,\u201d <strong>said Glenn Rozet, Senior Vice President, Public Sector ANZ, Salesforce.<\/strong> \u201cWe\u2019re working to conducted by the AI Policy Lab and qualitative analysis by Access Partnership. The indicators used were selected based on six key data criteria that spanned all 16 markets: relevance, accessibility, coverage, timeliness, consistency and transparency.
