This marks a critical milestone in the effort to make the city of San Francisco a more sustainable and equitable place to live and work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winning solutions include hydroponic green roofs, accessible solar storage, AI-driven green technology, and more.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Significance: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unep.org\/explore-topics\/resource-efficiency\/what-we-do\/cities\/cities-and-climate-change\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cities produce 75% of global emissions<\/a> and face the dual challenge of sustainable development and improving residents\u2019 quality of life amid rapid urbanization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Launched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/urban-sustainability-challenge-san-francisco\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">earlier this year<\/a>, Yes SF aims to find and support <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/blog\/ecopreneurs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ecopreneurs<\/a> with solutions that have the potential to create positive
