Together, they lived in a cramped apartment in the Bronx, not far from where he\u2019d grown up.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While he was getting by, it wasn\u2019t easy. Kamran wanted more financial security than he\u2019d had as the son of a taxi driver and homemaker, both emigrants from Bangladesh.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He had a hunch that a tech career was the path forward, which is why he was earning a degree in computer information systems. They introduced him to <a href=\"https:\/\/trailhead.salesforce.com\/?d=cta-body-promo-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Trailhead<\/a>, Salesforce\u2019s free online learning platform. Kamran was hooked. \u201cIt\u2019s free, it\u2019s readily accessible, it\u2019s gamified, it\u2019s fun, it\u2019s hands-on \u2014 it was life-changing,\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kamran started taking courses on Trailhead after school and work, from midnight until two in the morning. He learned about the Salesforce platform, as well as soft skills, such as how to give feedback. \u201cThis is my way out,\u201d he thought.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kamran wanted to delve deeper into Salesforce by attending <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/dreamforce\/?d=cta-body-promo-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dreamforce<\/a>, the company\u2019s annual global conference, but was struggling to find a way to make it work. In the end though, he took the leap and decided to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t know exactly what was out there, but I knew I made the right decision,\u201d he said. \u201cI took a bet on myself and, more importantly, I took a bet on Salesforce.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>I took a bet on myself and, more importantly, I took a bet on Salesforce.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The power of community<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At what he called \u201cDisney World for techies,\u201d Kamran learned even more about Salesforce\u2019s innovations and made life-long connections with other Trailblazers. Soon after, a contact he met at Dreamforce offered him a job as a remote Salesforce sales consultant with Now IT Matters, a tech consulting firm based in Montana. Kamran has since spent several years volunteering with PepUp Tech, the organization that set him on his career journey, by teaching Salesforce basics at underserved colleges. \u201cSalesforce changed top-of-mind for him and his colleagues than AI.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IDC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.salesforce.com\/news\/stories\/idc-salesforce-economy-ai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">predicts<\/a> the Salesforce economy, powered by AI, will generate a net gain of $2.02 trillion in worldwide business revenues and 11.6 million jobs worldwide between 2022 and 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kamran and his team continue to use Trailhead to stay informed on the latest trends and technology, including artificial intelligence. Kamran&#8217;s jobs have taken him on business trips all over the world \u2013 everywhere including Canada, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.
